Where to find it

  • Documentation Settings > {Document Type} > Fragment [1-12] setting

Purpose

Each Fragment setting (of which there are 12) can specify a unit of information that should be included in the generated document type. The table below shows the different fragment types, and their purpose.

Fragment Inserted content
Title The Title property of the project for which the document is being created
Description The Description property of the project.
Short Description The Short Description property of the project.
Process Flow Inserts a ‘process flow’ for the project. This is effectively a ‘flowchart’ showing the progress through the various screens in the project (but does not take into account any jumps or branches).
Table of Contents Inserts a table of contents. When you select this fragment, a sub-property of Level is available. Select the ‘depth’ of the table of contents (that is the number of heading levels to be included) in this property. This would normally be must be at least two more than the Heading Level property in the Project Content category of the Document Settings.
Project Content Inserts the actual content of the project. Note that you will need to set the properties in the following categories to determine the exact content to be included:
  • Project Content
  • Screenshots
  • Included Objects
Book Page Use this fragment to insert a Book Page (that does not already exist within the project) into the generated document. When you select this fragment, a sub-property of Select Book Page is made available. Use this property to navigate to and select the Book Page that is to be included.
Text Unit Use this fragment to insert a Text Unit into the generated document. When you select this fragment, a sub-property of Select Text Unit is made available. Use this property to navigate to and select the Text Unit that is to be included. This is useful if you want to include a standard text, such as a copyright notice, or security classification in your document. This will be inserted as-is, so make sure any required formatting is specified in the Text Unit.
Revision History Inserts the contents of all Revision Entry document macros in the simulation project. If this fragment is not used, then the Revision Entry macros will be ignored.
Input Values Inserts a table of all of the Input Text macros in the project. The table includes columns for the Object Name and Input Text properties of the Input Text macro.
Blank Line and Break Inserts a blank line or a page break. When you select this fragment, a further sub-property of Type is made available. This has the following options:
  • Page Break: Inserts a page break.
  • Small Blank Line: Inserts a blank paragraph with 30pt of space before it.
  • Medium Blank Line: Inserts a blank paragraph with 60pt of space before it.
  • Large Blank Line: Inserts a blank paragraph with 90pt of space before it.
Glossary Inserts a table containing all of the glossary terms and definitions used in the project.
None Does nothing (no space left). Presumably so you can temporarily suppress a fragment.
