Scope

SAP Companion parameter, specified either in the URL or in the SAP Companion parameters in the linked application.

Purpose

If you are allowing external consumption of help content (specific licensing, and other settings are required to enable this) then this parameter defines the period of time (in seconds) in which internal users will be authenticated (typically via SSO). After the expiration of this period, the user will be treated as an external user.

Usage

Specified as:

externalUsageTimeout=[x]

where x is a number of seconds. The default is 10, but 30 is recommended.
