Scope
- Book Page content object > Object Visibility object
Purpose
The Object Visibility Book Page object is used to display (only) one of a collection of up to 10 Book Page objects. This is useful for allowing users to cycle through a collection of images, or to mimic a 'tabbed page' feature. The advantage of using this object, instead of just triggering individual Show/Hide actions for the display objects, is that when you show (Activate) any object in the collection, all other objects in the collection are automatically hidden.
Use
To insert an Object Visibility object, select menu option Insert > Action Objects > Object Visibility (or click on the Action Objects button and select Object Visibility from the drop-down panel. The Object Visibility object is added as an icon outside the upper edge of the Page. Use the object's Object 1..10 properties to assign up to 10 existing Book Page 'display' objects to the collection. You can then trigger the display of one of these objects by setting the Actions properties for the trigger object to specify the Object Visibility as the target object and select the appropriate Activate x action.
Note that you should first select the Hide property for all of the objects (assigned to the Object Visibility object). Otherwise they will all be displayed until the first action triggered against the Object Visibility object.
Properties
Available Actions
The following Actions can be selected for an Object Visibility object when it is used as the target of a triggered event:
- Activate x: Display the object assigned to the Object Visibility object's Object x property, and hide all other assigned objects in the collection.
