Scope
- Book Page content object > Connection object
Purpose
The Connection object is designed to be used to draw connecting lines between BPM Objects on a Business Process Model (BPM) flowchart, but can be used to draw a straight line anywhere on the Book Page.
Connection objects can only be used to draw straight lines that are at right-angles to the book page (that is, parallel to the horizontal axis or to the vertical axis. If you need to draw a line at an angle, use an Shape > Arrow 1 object and remove the arrowhead.

Available Actions
The following Actions can be selected for a Connection object when it is used as the target of a triggered event:
- Animate In: Display the object using the method defined in the object's Animate In Effect property.
- Animate Out: Hide the object using the method defined in the object's Animate Out Effect property.
- Animate Toggle: Show the object if it is currently hidden, or hide it if it is currently displayed, using the object's Animate In Effect or Animate Out Effect property as appropriate.
- Hide: Hide the object (immediately, without regard to its Animate Out Effect property).
- Show: Show the object (immediately, without regard to its Animate In Effect property).
- Toggle: Hide or show the object (immediately).
