If Learners access content directly (not via Manager) for the first time, they are not prompted to change their password, but they are denied access because they need to change it because of this setting. They ''can'' log on to Manager and will be prompted to change their password then, but that's normally not what you want. So if your Learners have 'manual' IDs (not SSO) you probably want to deselect this option. [Seen working this way in the field, 09-SEP-2021.]

Where to find it

  • Manager > Administration > Server Settings menu > Security category > Force password change at first login setting

Purpose

If this setting checkbox is selected, then users whose Userids (in the SAP Enable Now system) were created manually or via Excel upload will be prompted to change their password when they first log on to SAP Enable Now.

Use

It is a best practice to leave this setting selected. Users are more likely to remember a password that they choose themselves.
