Scope

SAP Companion parameter, specified either in the URL or in the SAP Companion parameters in the linked application.

Purpose

The What's New Pop-up Bar

When this parameter is set to true, a message of "We have added some great new features. Click here to find out more." is displayed at the top of the screen, as soon as the user accesses the application.

It appears that the message text is hard-coded and cannot be changed.

This parameter has been discontinued. The InfoBar message will now be automatically displayed if What's New content exists for the current screen. This message can be set to automatically close by specifying the infoBarTimeoutWhatsNew parameter.

Usage

Specified as:

showWhatsNew=[true|false]
