Where to find it

  • Manager > Administration > Server Settings menu > General page > Search category > Allow Global Search in Learner View setting

Purpose

If this setting checkbox is selected then the Search feature on the Learner view will search all content. If it is not selected, then only content that is currently assigned to the user is searched. Regardless, only published content in the Workareas to which the user has permissions will be searched.

Note that for users to even see the Search field on the Learner view, the Show Learner View Search setting must be selected.
