Scope

  • Simulation content object > Text-To-Speech Options macro > Voice for Text to Speech property
  • Tools > Settings > Authoring Settings > Audio > Voice for Text to Speech setting

Purpose

At the (global) Setting level, Voice for Text To Speech defines the 'voice' that will be used when generating Text-to-Speech audio for simulations within the Workarea. At the macro level, this defines the voice to be used for the parent simulation, overriding the global setting.

The property/setting field is a drop-down list of all of the available Windows Text-to-Speech voices.

Note that this setting does not apply to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, for which all settings are specified at the time of audio generation.
