Scope
- Book Page content object > Time Control object
Purpose
The Time Control object is typically used to provide animation or other 'dynamic' elements to a Book Page. It can trigger one or more events after specified timers have expired.
Use
To insert a Time Control object, select menu option Insert > Action Object > Time Control (or click on the Insert Action Object button and then select Time Control from the drop-down panel). The Time Control is added to the Book Page as an icon outside the upper-left of the Book Page. Click on this icon to display the Time Control objects Property Sheet.
A Time Control can contain up to eight individual timers, each of which triggers a different event. If you need to trigger more than eight events, use an additional timer that starts at the same time but has later triggers (this is usually clearer than having one timer trigger another as it last trigger).
The Time Control must itself be triggered by an event (such as On Page Loaded for the parent Book Page) - it does not automatically start.
