Where to find it
- Tools > Settings > Producer > General > Move Time With Macros setting
Purpose
Honestly, I have no idea. The 'quick help' for this field states "The effect of this option is that when a macro is inserted or removed, the other macros are seamlessly shifted along the timeline or any gaps arising are closed", but this implies the existence of some kind of a timeline (for example, like you get in Adobe Captivate) but there is no such function in Projects (or in Book Pages where it would arguably make more sense). Maybe this is left over from prior functionality (or is provided in anticipation of future functionality) but at the moment I don't think it does anything. If you know different, let me know.
