Scope
- Simulation content object > action macro > Documentation > Highlight Position / Size property
- Simulation content object > Explanation macro > Documentation > Highlight Position / Size property
- Simulation content object > Documentation Highlight macro > Highlight Position / Size property
- Simulation content object > Page Highlight macro > Highlight Position / Size property
Purpose
The Highlight Position / Size property identifies the position on the (cropped screenshot) at which the Highlight will be placed in the generated documents. For 'action' and Explanation macros this is captured automatically during recording, and is initially the same as the Action Area indicated by the red dotted rectangle on the screenshot in the Step View (all views except the Documentation view).
If you change the Action Area for an action macro by dragging it (or its boundary handles) on the screenshot in the Step View, then this will change all of:
- The Object Image
- The Documentation > Highlight Position / Size
- The Control > Position and Size
If you only want to change the Documentation > Highlight Position / Size then you should do this by changing the Position and Size property itself, either by switching to the Documentation View and manually adjusting it, or by changing the property field itself (either by over-typing the coordinates, or by clicking on the Enter button and changing the Left, Top, Width, and Height values - see the explanation in Position).
Note that although the Highlight is displayed on the cropped screen image, the Highlight Position / Size property values are specified in relation to the entire screen (Screen macro > Page property) image.
For Explanation macros, this property can be used to display a Highlight around a specific area of the screen (there is no screen element associated with an Explanation macro that dictates the Highlight area), and must be used in conjunction with the Highlight in Documentation property.
