Scope

  • Simulation content object > Icon Link macro > Enforce Download of Linked Content (Manager) property
  • {Book Page Object} > Link category > Enforce Download of Linked Content (Manager) property

Purpose

Normally, when a file is opened via a link within a browser window, the file is either displayed directly (if a 'helper application' is available for the specific file type), or the user is asked if they want to open or save the file. If this property is selected, then the file will be downloaded (the user may be prompted to select a location, depending upon the browser).

This is useful for links to files that should always be downloaded, such as sample files, .zip files, templates, and so on.

Note that the "(Manager)" reference in the property name simply means that this only applies to files that are currently stored within the SAP Enable Now instance (that is, within the Manager).
