Scope
- Book Page content object > Text object > Hide Scroll Bars property
- Simulation content object > Text Pop-Up macro > Hide Scroll Bars property
Purpose
Text objects are not automatically resized to accommodate the amount of text placed on them. Instead, a vertical scrollbar is added to the inner rightmost edge of the object (in both the Editor and the Book Reader) if the text overflows the size of the text box - but will not be displayed if the text does not overflow the box. If you do not want the scrollbar to be displayed in the case of text overflow, then select this checkbox property. However, be warned that in this case any 'overflowed' text will not be visible/accessible to the user. Note that a horizontal scrollbar is not necessary as text always wraps within the bounds of the Text object.
