Purpose

This property specifies the key or key combination that the user can press on their keyboard to perform the action for the parent macro. For a Key-Stroke macro this is the only action possible. For a Mouse Action this is typically a keyboard shortcut that is an alternative action for the mouse action. The property value is usually captured during recording, but can be manually entered by clicking on the Edit button to the right of the property field, and then pressing the required key (including CTRL, ALT, and/or SHIFT if applicable).

Note that a Hotkey used as a keyboard shortcut for a Mouse Action can only progress the user to the next macro; it cannot be used to bypass macros or steps (for example, as a shortcut to a combined menu/submenu selection).
