Where to find it
- Authoring Settings > Recording > Simulation / Documentation category > Demo Text with Value setting
Purpose
If this setting is selected, then the Demo Text generated for Input Text macros during recording will include the Input Text property value. If this setting is deselected (which is the default) it will not.
See the following examples, using the default Recording Dictionary (and with variables for the placeholder elements):
Demo Text with Value selected | Demo Text with Value not selected |
---|---|
{Input Text} is now entered in the {Object Name} box. | The {Object Name} field is filled out. |
The inconsistency of "box" vs. "field" is as per the Recording Dictionary (the former uses input_text_value.demo, and the latter uses input_text.demo). You'd typically want to fix this.
