- Content object > Other Learning App Context > Duration property
Purpose
The Duration is a free-text field that is used to specify how long it will take the user to complete this learning object. I have no idea where this property is used, but presumably somewhere in the Learning App. You can insert it into a text object via the placeholder $#{project:.duration} (for a Simulation) or $#{book:.duration} (for a Book) - for example to show the expected duration on the Start Page for a Simulation.
This property used to be in the Learning App Context category, was removed in the 1911 release, and then made a comeback in the 2005 release, being moved to the Other Learning App Context category. It is now only available for Simulation and Book content objects.
