Where to find it

Purpose

By default, SAP Enable Now will capture enough information about the screen elements being interacted with to allow the object to be successfully identified during re-recording. This information typically includes the (e.g. Domain Object Model) 'path' to the element in the application, and is stored in the Object Key property of the action macro. However, in some cases, building this path can take additional time (usually fragments of a second, but...). In this case, selecting the Disable Path Building setting checkbox will prevent this information from being captured.

Use

You would normally only select this checkbox if you are experiencing performance issues during recording, and do not intend on using the Re-record functionality or using the Simulation to generate Desktop Assistant help (which also uses the same information).
