Scope
- Simulation content object > Arrow macro
Purpose
The Arrow macro is used to draw an arrow onto the screenshot (contained in the Screen macro's Page property) during playback. This is useful for drawing the user's attention to specific information on the screen. Note that there is no text associated with this arrow, so you will need to provide some other way of referencing it (in a Bubble) if necessary.
The advantage of using an Arrow instead of a Bubble is that the Arrow remains displayed for the duration of the Step and not just for the duration of this macro. This makes it useful for highlighting information during the execution or playback of multiple actions or Explanations.
Note that this is different from the Documentation Page macro, which is used to draw an arrow onto the screenshot in generated documents.
Use
To insert an Arrow, click anywhere in the Step during which the Arrow should be displayed, and then select menu option Insert > Insert Page Macro > Arrow.
