Scope
- Book Page content object > Shape object > Link > Tooltip property
- Book Page content object > Image object > Link > Tooltip property
- Simulation content object > Shape macro > Link > Tooltip property
Purpose
The Tooltip property can be used to define a small text pop-up that is shown above the parent object when the cursor is hovered over it. Normally, this is used with links, to indicate the type of object that is linked to (PDF, Web Page), or how this will be displayed (for example, in a new browser window), or other useful information. However, this property is not limited to being used just for links - you can specify it even if no link is defined for the object. For example, you may want to use a Tooltip of "Click me!" with an object for which an On Click action has been defined.
