The '''Position and Size''' property identifies the location of the screen element on the application screen with which the user interacts (this is usually referred to as the ''Action Area''). This is captured automatically during recording, and is typically indicated by the red dotted rectangle on the screenshot in the [[Step View]] - although for a 'click here' action (where a specific screen element was not identified during recording), the click position is identified by a solid (4px) circle and the '''Position and Size''' property will be in the format "x,y,'''0,0'''"

Purpose

The Position and Size property identifies the location of the screen element on the application screen with which the user interacts (this is usually referred to as the Action Area). This is captured automatically during recording, and is typically indicated by the red dotted rectangle on the screenshot in the Step View - although for a 'click here' action (where a specific screen element was not identified during recording), the click position is identified by a solid (4px) circle and the Position and Size property will be in the format "x,y,0,0"

You can change the Position and Size property either by dragging the Action Area' (or its boundary handles) in the Step View, or by changing the property field (either by over-typing the coordinates, or by clicking on the Enter button and changing the Left, Top, Width, and Height values - see the explanation in Position (Bubble property)). However, it is important to note that the Action Area shown in the Step View is used for:

If you change the Action Area in the Step View then you will change all three of these things (and they will all be reset to the same values, even if they had previously been changed individually). If you only want to change the Control > Position and Size then you should do this by changing the Position and Size property field itself.
