Scope

  • Simulation content object > Page macro object > Position and Size > Lock Position property
  • Book Page content object > Book Page object > Size and Position > Lock Position property

Purpose

The Lock Position property can be used to prevent accidentally moving the parent object during editing. If this property checkbox is selected, then the object cannot be moved or resized in the Step View. In fact. it can't even be selected - which is very useful if you need to select other, overlapping elements by dragging a selection marquee around them. It is still possible to change any of the size and position properties for the object via the Properties pane.

Objects for which this property is selected have a gray boundary indicator when selected, instead of a red one, and no handles are available on the boundary.
