Input Text (property)

Scope

• Simulation content object > Input Text macro > Input Text property

Purpose

This property specifies the text that is entered into the input field (Control) for an Input Text macro. This is typically captured during recording, but can be manually changed, if necessary. Note that you would not enter a value in here if the Regular Expression property is used.

If you manually change the text in this property, bear in mind that any generated document will use a graphic of the completed field that was captured during recording. This is stored in the Screenshot property of the Input Text macro. You can edit this graphic via an External Editor if necessary.

The contents of this property can be inserted into the Demo Text or Practice Text via the $#{text_d} Placeholder.
