Scope

  • Book content object > Basic Properties > Context: Desktop Assistant property
  • Book Page content object > Basic Properties > Context: Desktop Assistant property
  • Group content object > Basic Properties > Context: Desktop Assistant property
  • Text Unit content object > Basic Properties > Context: Desktop Assistant property

Purpose

This property contains context information used by the Desktop Assistant to determine if the parent content object should be proffered as applicable context for the user's currently-active application or screen.

This property does not exist for Simulation content objects; for simulations the Desktop Assistant context information is captured in the Screen macro Page Key property.

Use

To capture the context in the Context: Desktop Assistant property:

  1. Select the parent content object in the Workarea
  2. Click on the Record button at the top of the Property Sheet and select Record Desktop Assistant Context from the drop-down menu.
  3. In the Select Window and Profile dialog box, select the application from which you want to capture the context (make sure you are on the correct screen withing this), make sure the correct Profile is selected, and then click Record.
