Scope

  • Book Page content object > Basic Properties > Hide in Table of Contents property

Purpose

If this property checkbox is selected then the Book Page will not be listed in the drop-down Table of Contents (in the Book Reader Toolbar) for any Book in which it is included. The Book Page will still appear within the Book, and can be navigated via the navigation buttons - just not via any Table of Contents displayed for the Book.

Note that if you do hide a Book Page, the 'progress indicator' in the Book Reader Toolbar will show a '-' as the current page number, and the total number of pages will not account for the hidden Book Page. This can therefore give a misleading representation of the user's 'progress'.

This property is unrelated to the Table of Contents > Show property.
