Scope

Purpose

This property specifies the amount by which the parent object should be rotated.

Use

Specify the number of degrees that the shape should be rotated clockwise. Note that this is always specified as a positive integer; you cannot rotate an object anticlockwise by specifying a negative value - any negative value is simply interpreted as 'do not rotate (the default value of this field, when activated, is -1).

Note that shapes are always rotated within the constraints of the current shape boundaries (as specified by the object's Width and Height properties). So if you (for example) have a rectangle that is 100px wide and 50px high, and rotate this through 90 degrees, the shape will be scaled to still be only 50px high, and will now be only 25px wide (to keep the ratio the same). The overall size of the shape object will remain unchanged (at 100x50).
