Scope

  • Book Page content object > Shape > New Window Properties > Status bar property
  • Simulation content object > Shape > New Window Properties > Status bar property

Purpose

If the parent object's Open in New Window property is specified then the target of the associated link will be opened in a new browser window (or tab, depending upon the browser's functionality and settings). By default, this will not include a 'status bar' (the bar at the bottom of the window that shows (in Internet Explorer) the current zoom level, and so on). Selecting the Status bar property checkbox will override this default and include a status bar in the new window (where this is supported by the browser - not all browsers show a status bar).
