Enable Password Policy

Where to find it

• Manager > Administration > Server Settings menu > Automatic Excel Import category > Enable Password Policy setting

Purpose

If Automatic Excel Import is enabled, then Userids can be created for users en masse, via upload from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. This upload will include the initial password for the users. If the Enable Password Policy setting is selected, then any passwords included in this file will be validated against the password policy settings (see 'See Also' below). Any Userids that fail these checks will still be created, but will be initially deactivated.

Use

If you create users via upload, you should also select the Force password change at first login setting.
