Where to find it

  • Manager > Administration > Server Settings menu > Security category > Password must contain special character setting

Purpose

If this checkbox is selected then all passwords (either entered manually or in an Excel upload) must contain at least one special character (such as: @ ! $ % # & * _ - etc.). This is only required in non-SSO implementations, or for manually-created Userids (for example, special IDs for Administrators).
