Scope

• Content object > Short Description property

Purpose

The Short Description property is available for all content objects in the Workarea. It is a multi-line text box in which you can provide a short text description of (or introduction to) the content object. This information may appear in a number of places:

• In the Trainer, below the launch buttons but above the horizontal rule.
• In the Desktop Assistant, below the content object's name (if Tools > Settings > Desktop Assistant: Playback Settings > Desktop Assistant > Desktop Assistant - Content and Behavior > Use Text From is set to Short Description).
• In the content object's tile in the Learning Library view of Web Assistant.

Normally, you would want to keep the Short Description very short and succinct.

• In generated documents, if included via a Fragment.
