Scope

  • Book Page content object > Book Page object > Name property

Purpose

Every Book Page object on a Book Page should have a unique name, specified by this property. (Technically, you can give multiple objects the same name, but it would be confusing to do so. Default names of "Object Type #" (where # is a sequential number within the object type) are automatically assigned when the objects are added to the page, but you will find it helpful to rename these to something more meaningful.

Object Names appear in the Objects pane, and are also used in any other Book Page object properties that require a reference to another object (for example, the object to action on a Time Control object).

In addition to displayable objects, Guides, Groups, action controls, and so on also have a Name property.
