Type and Orientation

Scope

Purpose

The Type and Orientation property identifies the specific shape being displayed by the macro or Book Page object. This property consists of a drop-down of all possible values, corresponding to the options available on the shape menu/toolbar selection.

This property is set automatically, either based on your selection (for Book Pages) or to the default shape (for Simulations), but can be changed as necessary. This makes it easy to change the type of a Shape object without having to delete it and insert a different shape - all properties will be carried over from the old Shape to the new Shape.
