Allow Anonymous Access to Snippet Repository

From SAP Enable Now Wiki

Where to find it

  • Manager > Administration > Server Settings menu > Security category > Allow Anonymous Access to Snippet Repository setting

Purpose

If you are using SAP Companion 3rd Party Integration, you will connect to a Script Library that contains the Snippets you want to use. In most cases this will be SAP's own Snippet Repository, but it could be one provided by another vendor. If you access a vendor Repository you will probably have to enter a Userid and password when you connect. By contrast, the SAP Snippet Repository is 'free access', and you do not need to enter a Userid or password (although you could - they are customer and Customer1# respectively). If you do not enter a Userid/password (you are accessing the Snippet Repository anonymously) you need to select this setting, to prevent the connection from insisting you haven't entered a valid Userid/password.
