Purpose

This setting defines the simulation playback mode in which the simulation will be played when a user selects it in Desktop Assistant.

Classic Desktop Assistant Mode

In 'classic' Web Assistant Mode, the user clicks on the Play button on the left of a simulation entry in the Desktop Assistant to launch the simulation in the Default Start Content mode. (Note this button is only visible when the user hovers over the simulation entry.) They also have the option to click on the entry itself, to display a list of all modes available for the simulation, which they can select from.

Web Assistant Mode

If Desktop Assistant is running in Web Assistant mode then only the one playback mode selected in this setting will be available, and this will be launched as soon as the user clicks on the simulation 'Tile' in the Carousel.
