Effect (Highlights setting)

Where to find it

Playback Settings > General > Highlights category > Effect setting

This property can be used to change the way in which the Highlight surrounding the 'action area' is displayed during playback of a simulation.

This setting can take the following values:

Pulsate: This is the default, and causes the Highlight repeatedly fade in and out.
Show: The Highlight is shown without any effects.
Animate: The Highlight will be 'drawn' onto the screen, counter-clockwise or left-to-right, depending on the Type.
Flash: The Highlight will flash (in solid color) four times.
Zoom: The Highlight will appear at approximately 2x the action area size, and 'zoom in' on the action area. This will be repeated three times.
Hotspot: The Highlight appears around the action area, and then expands outwards as a solid, thicker border. (Tip: Do not use this setting with a Type of Underline.)
