Export as One File

Where to find it
- Tools > Localization > Export Translation File menu option > Export Translation File dialog box > Export as One File setting
Purpose
If this checkbox is selected then a single translation file (XLIFF or Word) will be generated containing all of the text objects to be translated. If this checkbox is not selected then a separate file will be created for each content object.
Use
Generating separate files is of most use if you have multiple (human) translators and want to split up the work into multiple Word documents. For translation via XLIFF it is probably best to leave it as a single file.
