Highlight (Screenshot overlay)

The Highlight is the (by default) blue rectangle that is overlaid onto the screenshot in a Simulation project during playback, to identify the position of the screen element (Control) with which the user is required to interact (typically an input field for an Input Text macro or a button for a Mouse Action macro). A Highlight may also be included for an Explanation macro.

As noted, the Highlight is a blue rectangle by default, but this can be changed via the settings at Tools > Settings > Playback Settings > General > Highlights. Of particular note are the following settings:

• Type: The visual style of the Highlight. This can be one of:
  • Rectangle (the default)
  • Ellipse
  • Underline
• Effect:
  • Show
  • Animate
  • Pulsate
  • Flash
  • Zoom
  • Hotspot (the default)
