newWindowSAML

From SAP Enable Now Wiki

Scope

SAP Companion parameter, specified either in the URL or in the SAP Companion parameters in the linked application.

Purpose

By default, SAP Enable Now attempts to perform authentication from within an iFrame in the browser. Some authentication providers (most notably Microsoft Azure and Okta) do not permit this. To cater for these authentication providers, if this parameter is set to true then a new browser window is opened specifically to perform authentication. This window is automatically closed once authentication has been carried out.

If you are allowing external consumption of help content (specific licensing, and other settings are required to enable this) then this parameter should be set to true.

Some browsers block opening new windows for security reasons, so you may also need to change the browser settings to 'allow pop-ups'.

Usage

Specified as:

newWindowSAML=[true|false]

or

winSAML=[true|false]
