Offset
Scope
- Context Help (Desktop Assistant) object > Mouse Action macro > Offset property
- Desktop Assistant: Playback Settings > General > Global category > Offset setting
This property is also available in the Guided Tour Style macro, but there it has no effect as Guided Tour Steps are always displayed a Bubbles.
Purpose
This property can be used to shift the position of the 'Bubble anchor point' relative to the screen element by a specified number of pixels. If an Icon is used as the Highlight method, then the anchor point is also the position of the icon. Unlike the (almost equivalent) simulation Bubble Position property, this is always relative to the Element.
Use
Specified as an X,Y comma-separated pair representing then number of pixels to shift the anchor point on the horizontal (X) and vertical (Y) axes respectively. Example:
-20,0
A negative value on the X axis will move the anchor point to the left, and a positive value will move it to the right. On the Y axis, a negative value will move the anchor point up, and a positive value will move it down. In the example above, the anchor point will be shifted 20 pixels to the left on the horizontal (X) axis, and left on the edge of the element on the vertical (Y) axis.
