Use Web Assistant Mode

Where to find it

• Desktop Assistant: Playback Settings > Desktop Assistant > Use Web Assistant Mode setting

Purpose

Desktop Assistant displayed in Web Assistant mode, against an SAP ECC 6.0 system.

If this checkbox is selected, then the Desktop Assistant is displayed 'in Web Assistant mode', which means that it will appear almost identically to how Web Assistant does, with a Carousel along the rightmost side of the screen (from top to bottom).

When this setting is enabled, the following additional settings are available:

• Style
• Framework Server
• Learning Center URL
• Web Assistant Parameters

In addition, several other settings under Desktop Assistant - Style and Windows, Desktop Assistant - Sidebar, and Desktop Assistant - Content and Behavior are hidden when this setting is used - because they are no longer relevant. Curiously, the entire Glossary Bubble category is also hidden - maybe Glossary pop-ups no longer work? (To be confirmed)
