Where to find it
- Manager > Administration > Server Settings menu > Automatic Excel Import category > Enable Automatic Microsoft Excel Import setting
Purpose
All users of SAP Enable Now (creators or consumers) must have a Userid in the SAP Enable Now system. Userids can be created manually by the Administrator, created automatically by the user when they first access SAP Enable Now (typically, via SSO), or can be created automatically via Microsoft Excel. In this latter scenario, a list of users is extracted from an existing user database (such as an HR system or an IAS provider) and saved to a Microsoft Excel file that is placed somewhere on a server that SAP Enable Now has read access to. The Enable Automatic Microsoft Excel Import settings are then used as follows:
- Select the checkbox to enable the automatic import
- Enter the full path and file name of the Excel spreadsheet that contains the user list into the input field
- Click the Schedule button and select the time and frequency with which SAP Enable Now should retrieve (a new copy of) the file and import its contents
Note that the file can contain all users every time - SAP Enable Now will update the details of any user for whom a Userid already exists in SAP Enable Now.
