Scope

Purpose

This property is used to add a shadow effect to the parent object.

Use

If this property checkbox is selected (which means that a shadow will be shown for the object) then the following additional properties are added to the Shadow category:

These properties are fairly complex to understand, and in some cases are inconsistently implemented, depending on whether other properties are specified or not. It's best to refer to the explanations of the individual properties themselves, but the following graphic is offered to provide a side-by-side comparison of what the last four of these do, individually.
