Purpose

If the Show Subtitles setting is selected, then any Text-to-Speech text specified in Book Pages will appear at the bottom of the Book Page as a subtitle.

This setting can be used to specify the color of the subtitle bar (in which the subtitle text appears). You can either click on the colored square to the left of setting field (which shows the current color) and select or specify the required color in the Color Chooser dialog box, or you can enter the RGB hexadecimal color code directly into the field. Note that the subtitle bar is slightly transparent, allowing the book page content behind it to be seen. Take this into account when choosing a color.
