Scope
- Simulation content object > Partial Screenshot macro
Purpose
The Partial Screenshot macro can be used to insert an image of a section of the current Step's screenshot into the generated document. You may want to do this to include a second image of the same screenshot (which isn't captured by the screen's Screenshot Position / Size macro), to show an additional area of the screen (or to provide a 'zoomed-in' image of a portion of the same screen).
A Partial Screenshot is captured for a specific Step, but does not have to remain in the Step for which it is created. You can move the Partial Screenshot macro to another Step, and the image will still be taken from the original Step. This is very useful if you want to include an example of how the screen appears later in the simulation, earlier in the document.
Use
To insert a Partial Screenshot macro:
- Click on the macro after which you want the Partial Screenshot to appear in the generated document.
- Select menu option Insert > Insert Documentation Macro > Partial Screenshot.
- The Partial Screenshot dialog box is displayed. This contains a copy of the current Screen macro's Page property, and a red selection box. Drag the selection box to contain the area you want to be used as the Partial Screenshot and then click the Confirm Selection button (or press Enter).
- Adjust the properties (see below) as required.
