Purpose

A Fill in the Blanks question can contain multiple 'blanks', in which case an Answer n property should be specified for each 'blank'. If you are using an Interaction of Drag & Drop or Drop Down List then you can choose to use the same set of selections for each blank. In this case, to avoid duplicating the list in multiple Answer properties, you can enter them all once, in Answer 1, and then select the Use Answer 1 Only to have this same set of options used for every blank.

Use

As with any use of the Fill in the Blanks property, you need to indicate the 'correct' choice in the list by prefixing it with an asterisk (so, in "A,*B,C", B is the correct answer). If you use Answer 1 only, you need to flag the correct answer for each blank with an asterisk. These correct answers must be in the same sequence as the corresponding blanks in the question Text. If you do this, you will probably also want to select the Shuffle Solutions property for the question, so that the solution is not too 'obvious' to the user.
