Where to find it

  • Desktop Assistant: Playback Settings > Desktop Assistant > Desktop Assistant - Content and Behavior category > Open Web Assistant Panel

Purpose

If the setting Hide Desktop Assistant on Running Web Assistant is selected, then if Desktop Assistant is running and the user switches to an application for which Web Assistant is available, Desktop Assistant will automatically be hidden so the user is not presented with both help options. If this setting is selected then the Web Assistant Carousel is automatically opened when the user switches to the Web Assistant enabled application.

Use

Be careful when using this option, as the Carousel is not automatically closed when the user switches out of the Web Assistant enabled application, which could create some confusion. At least if they open it themselves, they'll understand that they have to close it again themselves.
