Where to find it

  • [Resources > ] Documentation Settings > {Document Type} > Markers category > Highlight Offset setting

Purpose

This setting defines the amount of space (in pixels) to be left between the outer edges of the object and the innermost edge of the border that is drawn around it (that is, the amount of 'padding' left around the object).

Use

Technically, this setting defines the padding around the area specified by the Highlight Position / Size property for the action macro - which, by default, is the same as the Control Position and Size property, which itself defaults to the outside border of the screen element (object) as captured during recording.
