Purpose

If Tracking Back End is set to Manager (or Automatic, which also covers Manager) then consumption metrics are passed to Manager for use in the consumption reports. If this option is selected, then only the consumption of Published content is tracked. This is helpful tfor ensuring that development, Author previews, reviews, and so on are not counted in the consumption metrics.
