I have started a recording, did all my process, and when was editing the slides i realized i didn’t record one step, how can i re-strat the recording?
The little red circle is unavailable now… (appears in grey as if im not able to record again)

If you have recorded a Simulation, you can record additional steps at the end, or in the middle (wherever you want) – just click on the Step you want the new Steps to appear after, and the Record button should be available. If it is gray then that implies you are in read-only mode. Make sure you Start Editing for the simulation first. I can’t think of any other reason why it would be grayed out.

I have another question related to SAP Companion (Web Assistant). Is there the way to start simulations from Learning Center in Demo Mode by default? As for now default playback mode is Practice which not the desired mode.

What is the best process to forecast utilization of Enable Now? Not all SAP users will use Enable Now, and I imagine utilization will fluctuate up and down as projects go live.
No idea. It will vary by so many things (target audience’s familiarity with computer systems, ERP systems, SAP systems, their jobs, how well they have been trained, etc., etc.) so it would be very difficult to come up with some meaningful statistics. I’m not aware of any benchmarks, although any individual client can look at the available manager reports to see trends.

Is there a way to allow users to be able to enter any variation of an answer in the Fill-in-the-Blanks quiz template? E.g. if the question is “One of the year-end activities is _____ .” and the answer could be Balance Carry Forward OR Balance OR BCF OR Carry Forward.

Hmm, it doesn’t look like it. I initially thought you would be able to use a Regular Expression, but having just tried to test it I see that’s not an option. It probably should be though, so I’ll enter a Customer Influence Request to ask for it. For now though, the answer is: No. Sorry.

A Regular Expression allows only exactly what you want it to allow – that’s its beauty. In your example, you could use /^Balance Carry Forward$|^Balance$|^BCF$|^Carry Forward$/. You can try it out at regex101.com

While recording a simulation with SAP Enable Now Producer I find that the:
1. When we have multiple fields to enter in a SAP screen all of them come in one screen. What I mean to say is if there is Amount field, Customer field and Company field all the inputs come in one step post recording. How do I fix it and have different steps for each field? Is there something I need to fix before recording?
(Sorry, just saw this.) By default, every action should be in its own Step. The only way I can see this happening is if you have the Auto Merge option set on. Look under Authoring Settings > Recording > Simulation / Documentation > Auto Merge and make sure this is NOT selected.

Do you know if there are any limitations for WAV audio files for Enable Now? I tried to import WAV file (1152 kbps, 1,5MB) and got the error that File Format is not supported.
Then I tried to import lower quality WAV file (736 kbps, 0,9 MB) and it was imported successfully. This made me think that there are limitations for wav audio files, but I didn’t find any official information.

I am unable to finish editing for data which is more than 4 mb. Everytime i get this error msg.
Th error is:
HttpEndRequest failed. – System error: The operation timed out (12002)
There’s a couple of things you can do that may help. First, increase the Timeout of server request Server Settings. But most likely it is your own browser that is timing out (Producer uses the browser, even if it doesn’t look like it). You’ll need to create some registry entries – details are provided in SAP Note 2390539.

I am an ABAP/UI5 developer new to Enable Now.
1. Is there any option to edit the Enable Now UI/Logic? Is there an SDK openly available to modify the UI like adding a custom button, trigger a backend call etc? Is the backend data residing in SAP? In which case, can we modify the logic using ABAP/Java?
2. How to assign courses to multiple users together? (I saw your earlier answer last year, that it is not possible and must be done only via Role/Org Unit. Is this feature in the future roadmap?)
3. How to programmatically add additional logic to filter the values in the report seen in Administration > Assignments ? Requirement is to add additional validation before the user downloads using the XLS Export

1. Not that I am aware of. Certainly not in the cloud version, as most of the code is on SAP’s servers (for Producer it is downloaded but overwritten every 6 months with the upgrade). There’s no SDK. But “adding a custom button” to where? There are things that are possible with SAP Companion for 3rd party applications, depending on what you are trying to achieve.
2. Same answer as before: No, you need to use Roles/UIs. Nothing in the Roadmap that will change this, as far as I know.
3. There’s no way to do this ‘programmatically’ – just using the filters that are available. However, you could build queries in Power BI that gives you a lot more capabilities.

How can I translate audio (text to speech) to any other language? I could successfully translate bubble texts automatically but cannot generate audio in any other language.

Hi, Ashutosh: Sorry, you can’t. translation only affects text. You need to run Text-to-Speech again, against the translated text. That will re-generate the audio.
When I am re-generating the audio post translation, there is no audio in new language. Does that mean enable now allow text-to-speech only for English? Do I have to import or record audio for other languages?
Are you using the free Microsoft Text-to-Speech services (not Google Cloud Text-to-Speech)? If so, you will only see the ‘voices’ that are present on your PC. By default this is your Windows language. You probably need to download the voice for your required translation language. On your PC, search for Accessibility / Speech / Voices and under Manage voices, you should see an option to Add Voices – click that and you will be able to download/install additional voices. (This is for Windows 11 – options may be different under other versions, but it’s usually somewhere under one of those terms.) HTH

With compound documents, I’ve found that including Book Pages and selecting Book Page as Text results in content that is searchable (and editable) in the word document output. It will also include images that are directly on the slides. However, I can’t seem to figure out how to include linked images that fall beneath the slide in the producer hierarchy. Is there a way to include these images in the compound document while still maintaining the Book Page as Text option?
Replied to your email, but for the record here (in case anyone else has the same question): Your choice is a static image (not searchable) or text. In theory the text option does not include any images (unless you explicitly choose to include thee Page Background Image) but as you’ve discovered, images that are pasted onto the Book Page do seem to be included, but ‘assets’ of the page, or referenced image files from the Workarea will not. Inconsistent and most likely not by design. Sorry there’s not a better answer.
