  1. Hello Dirk, I have a problem after installing version 10.8.5 and switching from win 10 to 11. I can’t see the images in the preview window. Everything is correct in the objects, I can see the preview for the object, but after placing it on the page I can’t see it on the page. When I give a preview, the image is visible in the result.

  2. When I play a book from manager or learner view, the book should play in a new browser window. Is it possible to achieve this?

    Thanks a lot !

  3. Hello sir,

Just curious to know where “Resources -> Adaptable Resources -> Highlighter” is used? It just contains a page with yellow coloured painting in the preview image. Is this importantly used anywhere?

    1. Highlighter, Decor 1, Text Box Shadow are Frame Styles that used to be selectable in the Text Editor. But Frame Styles got wrapped into the Text Styles resource (as Block Styles) at some stage, and these are effectively deprecated. Not used anywhere, but kept around in case someone has old content they were applied to.

  4. Hello Dirk,

What is the difference between Paragraph Styles and Default Style in the Text Style resources?. When I change the text style of Default Style, it is changing the style of h1, h2, h3, h4 in paragraph Styles.

    Thank you

    1. Default Style is a text default that applies to pretty much everything in SAP Enable Now – including, most significantly, the text in bubbles, so beware! You have Character Styles that can override that, and then you have Paragraph Styles and List Styles that can also be applied to text. But unless you explicitly change the font/size to use in these, they will all still use the Default Style > Base settings.

  5. When I added the media file in quiz, I am unable to change its size. I navigated to Media section and added the values on Width and Height field but it didn’t change anything.

    Thank you sir

    1. It uses the size of the media and media_preview objects. You can’t ‘choose your own size’. Sorry.

  6. One of our colleagues have converted PPT to book pages using Tools -> Import -> PowerPoint as Book feature. He left the organization and we are unable to find the source PPT. Is there any possibilities to retrieve the PPT from SEN?

    1. Unfortunately not. When you import a PowerPoint it effectively takes a static image of each slide and saves that. It doesn’t retain the original .ppt file at all. Maybe the original author left a copy as an asset of the Book?

  7. Will SEN machine translate abbreviations/acronyms? Because we use a lot of these stuffs and not sure if we face any issue.

    1. It will translate whatever is in the translation dictionary. So if “DOB” (Date of Birth) is in the dictionary as “FDN” in Spanish then yes, that will get translated. But if not you would get a translation of “…fecha de nacimiento (DOB)…”. Best I can suggest is run your Glossary (where I assume you have all your abbreviations) through the Machine Translation and see what it does.

  8. I want the quiz question area to occupy the full page. Is it possible to achieve this? [I downloaded the quiz templates from Info Center. I was unable to cover them for full page].

    1. You should be able to resize any of the elements (if they are locked, just deselect the Lock Position checkbox under Size and Position. That said, I did notice that even if I resized elements on the Template, they didn’t always look display the new size in Preview – but once I played the Quiz back it was the correct size – so try that as well.

  9. Hello Dirk,

How to restrict Screen Title from getting captured in a simulation?

    Thank you

    1. You can’t stop it from being captured, but you can control whether it appears in the generated document…
