Hello Dirk! I’m really new to Enable Now and I have a question about the connection between Enable Now and ECC.
I understand that you need to create an export content file, but this requires a Workarea URL.
My question is, where is that URL?

So you are creating the Context Help File that you will use on the Help menu in your SAP ECC6 system? If so, you can find the URL to use by selecting your Workarea (highest-level entry) in Producer, and look in the Server Workarea property on the right. This will be in the format ‘ @ ‘ – it’s the part you need.

I have another question, when accessing Learning Content in SAP ECC6, it sends us to a URL that gives us the HTTP 404-Not found error message, what would be wrong for this to happen?
At a guess I’d say because the content (or some resources) has not been published. The URL should let you know what object it is looking for.

Not out-of-the-box, no. If it’s possible at all it would require some code customization. However, if you use Assignments, learners can print a certificate of completion that does include their name.
hello I’m unable to install a producer on my dekstop. I’m getting following error:

Looks like a missing/corrupt standard Windows DLL file – not specific to SAP Enable Now, it just happens that SAP Enable Now is using that particular DLL. Try running System File Checker to replace/repair.

I have a question here (may be dumb one) for which I could not find a direct answer anywhere. I will really appreciate if you could help me with this information and any reference from SAP Site / document to it.
If I want to use SAP Enable Now Consumption Option without customizing or developing any content of my own, do I still need to install and connect to Manager? Consumption Option for standard SAP Content does not require any license, but how do I utilize it and what are the components needed for it.

If you do not want to provide your own content and just use SAP’s ‘out of the box’ content, no you do not need SAP Enable Now licenses – you just need to enable SAP Enable Now in the target system (depending on what system and what version this may already be active, and/or the activation process is slightly different – check the SAP Companion Integration Guide (sections referencing UACP). No additional components needed; you’re just pointing your system at SAP’s content servers.

It depends on how/why they were created, and what you mean by ‘duplicate’. Each Group in the Workarea is a unique object, and it has a unique UID that identifies it. You can have multiple Groups with the same name, but they will have different UIDs. True ‘duplicates’ can be deleted (once you move their contents out’ – although you need to be careful if there are any direct links to these, anywhere.
If you have exactly the same Group appearing in multiple places in your Workarea (that is, they all have the same UID) then that is something differently because they are references not duplicates. There, you can delete the ‘duplicates’ from wherever they appear, and as long as there is still (at least) one copy of it in your Workarea, nothing will break.
You’ll find it helpful to show the Structure Reference Counter and Object Reference Counter, and then use the References Dialog to identify references and links.

Guided Tours for non-SAP applications: Yes, if you use SAP Companion for Desktop. Technically, you may be able to use SAP Companion for web applications, but it requires a lot of consultant work/configuration/coding.
Outside of your organization: No. All you can do there is create a .exe of simulations. Everything else requires a license.
Hi Dirk, we are accessing transactions through SAP GUI HTML in Fiori Launch Pad. However when we create help content with Enable Now the context is always filled with “Shell-startGUI”. We already maintained the parameter “enableClassicIntent” and set the value “true”. But there is no difference.

If you pasted images in your question, they got stripped (sorry). Short answer is that enableClasssicIntent=true should work (assuming it is entered correctly, case-sensitive). But WebGui is always a bit tricky. Suggest you open an Incident with SAP if it’s not working. You could try asking the same question on the SAP Enable Now Community, in case anyone there has had similar experience.

You need to enter the parameter exactly as: “enableClassicIntent” – capital “C” capital “I” and everything else lowercase. “enablecapitalintent” won’t work, and “EnableClassicIntent” won’t work.
Hi Dirk, my organization has put in a Customer Improvement Request to get SAP Enable Now to put in Text Box Rotation to allow for Text Rotation on Book Pages. In order to get it to the Review stage it needs 10 Votes. How can I increase my exposure to other SAP Enable Now users to bring this to their attention and get them to Vote for this. I am new at using SAP Enable Now and don’t have other contacts outside of my department. I feel this would be of great benefit. As you noted, I already asked for that in idea 256737 (which got 12 votes), but SAP closed it as “Not Planned / Out of Scope” anyway. We can ask again (I have voted for your new request), but I think they will give us the same answer, regardless of the number of votes. Don’t worry about the 10-vote minimum; they don’t really insist on that. You could try mentioning it on the Forum, but they could remove it if it is not a question… Ask your SAP Customer Success Partner (CSP) and/or joinn the Ask an Expert session and ask there – make sure SAP knows there is continued demand for this feature.
Also, I see you managed to get 5 other people in your organization to vote for it. That doesn’t matter. SAP will only consider one vote per customer. So you could get 1,000 people at your company to vote for it but it will only count as 1 vote.
Hi Dirk – Is there a way to change default text in simulations?
Our company’s standard is to use “Select” not “Click”.
It would be nice to automatically insert the word “Select” when appropriate instead of “Click”.
Yes. You just need to create a custom Recording Dictionary (Simulation), and change the texts in this. Then set it as your default. Note that in a(nother) odd quirk of SEN, you (as the Admin/Lead) cannot set the Recording Dictionary as a ‘global’ default for all Authors – each Author will need to set it as their default individually.

If there is any documentation it will be in the Producer Manual, but I suspect there isn’t any – it’s a configuration thing. It’s not difficult though; you can probably figure it out.
